This custom-built mountain home seamlessly blends luxury and sustainability. Designed for a discerning family of five relocating to Whistler full time, the residence features high-end natural finishes, a net-zero energy footprint, and passive house construction for exceptional efficiency.
After previously living in a small townhome—where we first built additional storage, followed by a full renovation years later—this marks their third project with us over the past decade. For their new build, the family wanted a home that would accommodate their growing needs and welcome visiting grandparents. An elevator and an extra guest bedroom were added for accessibility and comfort, while a dedicated home office and gym were integrated into the design.
Precision-crafted using pre-fabricated passive house panels, the home offers unmatched thermal performance and achieved Net Zero certification. During excavation, geothermal wells were discovered on the property and seamlessly integrated, allowing the home to use a sustainable geothermal system for both heating and cooling. Solar power further enhances the efficiency of this self-sustaining sanctuary.
Every detail—from the hand-selected wood and stone finishes to the seamless indoor-outdoor flow—reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, comfort, and eco-conscious living. Outdoor living areas include heated patios, a hot tub, and landscaping complete with a pond, creating an inviting extension of the home.
